Just had a house preview energy rating come back as 8.9 stars when we weren't even pushing for a high star rating. This is going to be such a comfortable house.
The energy rating standard in Australia is upgrading from 6 stars to 7 stars this year, this is the absolute minimum for a new house, below that is illegal. Please don't strive for the minimum, it's not hard people plus it's better for you and our environment.

This is true, lets please up our game, the Australian standard is the minimum, more insulation and proper glazing in the right place is what we need. The passivehouse standard has been getting it right since the early 80's. Give me a call so we can get your new home or renovation done right.
